On Notice - Week #8

9 Comments:

  • I'm in my early 20's and have been following college football for quite some time now, and I honestly can not think of a bigger flamer in the sport (since I've been watching) than Jeff Samardijza.

Also, he must not have many good friends, because if he did, you'd figure at least one of them would tell him to get a new hair style. Its the exact same style as my Aunt Mary's. Uncanny

  • I cant think of any player that I have liked less in the last 5-6 years. He makes Woodson seem like a good stand-up guy.

Did you see him smiling and laughing on the bench when they were losing? Classy...Classy...

  • He reminds me a bit of Christian Laettner, only 100 times worse.

What the hell was that end-zone celebration anyway....bringing the ball to his chest with both hands, and dropping it like he some kind of badass?

I bet he flexes in front of the mirror before he goes to bed.

  • He could take a lesson from Anthony Gonzalez and learn to show a little humility.

I guess it wont matter though...he will learn humility the hard way on an NFL scout team.

  • Was your reference to Black Francis' diet in regards to his recent appearence on Austin City Limits? If so, I saw and thought the same thing. There are some things HD should not be broadcast in, that was one of them. Between that and Kim Deal acting like she had recently had too much acid, it was almost more than I could take.

  • As much as I love the Pixies, it was tough to watch that with a straight face. I was pretty much convinced that the Frank was going to head into cardiac arrest, during the harmonizing chorus with Kim in "Gigantic."

Dont get me started on Kimmy. She is about as burnt as you can possibly be and still maintain a somewhat competent ability to play an instrument. I think that there were a few times in between songs that the roadies had to go on-stage and put a mirror under her nose to see if she was still breathing.

The songs were great...the vision was scary...simply frightening

  • Herringbone,

Can you please add "Lloyd Carr's Ethics" to your Week #8 "On Notice"?

Seriously though, quick question: Do you think the mainstream media (newspapers, ESPN, SI, ESPN.com) will look into the possibility of Lloyd delaying the suspension of Arrington? At the very least, it looks very suspicious

  • If I put Lloyd Carr and Ethics on the Board (on the same line), my site might crash immediately.

I have said it before. Insiders on various team boards have said it in the past. There are a lot of shady things that happen in Ann Arbor, which you or I will never hear about...at least we wont hear about it until football season is over.

I grew up in NW Ohio and happen to have some UM ties. That place is as shady as all get out. Dont think for a second that when the Fab Five left and the Charles Woodsons left town that shady things stopped happening. It's just not realistic. UM has just as many pieces of shit on its roster as OSU...they just dont have ESPN jumping on their throat when bad things happen...mainly because the local media in Ann Arbor doesnt jump all over stories like the Dispatch does...and that's a fact.
